Terms of Service

1. The service

Joblio is an AI-powered tool for tailoring resumes, generating cover letters, optimizing LinkedIn profiles, and preparing for interviews. The service uses third-party AI (Anthropic Claude) to generate text on your behalf.

2. Your account

• You must be 16 or older.
• You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account.
• One account per person. Sharing credentials or transferring accounts is not allowed.
• Provide accurate information. We may suspend accounts using false information.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit resumes or job descriptions you don't have rights to.
• Use Joblio to generate fraudulent, defamatory, or misleading content.
• Scrape, copy, or reverse-engineer the service.
• Resell access to Joblio or expose our AI features through your own product.
• Use the service to violate any applicable law, including discrimination, harassment, or fraud.
• Probe, scan, or test our infrastructure without prior written permission.

Violations may result in immediate account termination without refund.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• Paid plans are charged monthly or annually in advance through Stripe. Prices are in USD and exclude any applicable taxes.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• 14-day money-back guarantee on the first payment for any plan. Email contact@thejoblio.com within 14 days to request a full refund.
• After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion. You can cancel anytime from Dashboard → Billing; access continues until the period ends.
• We may change prices with 30 days' notice. The new price applies at your next renewal.

5. AI-generated content

• You own what you submit and what you generate. We claim no rights over your inputs or outputs.
• AI output is not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or suitable for a specific purpose. Always review before submitting to an employer.
• Joblio is a writing assistant, not a job placement service. We do not guarantee interview invitations or job offers.

6. Intellectual property

Joblio's software, templates, prompts, and brand are our property. You may use the service per these terms but may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of our software or content.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that create undue risk to the service. If we terminate you without cause, we'll prorate any unused portion of your paid plan.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Joblio is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that AI output will meet any specific quality threshold.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Joblio is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost wages, missed opportunities, or hurt feelings.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts of Delaware. If you're a consumer in the EU/UK, your local mandatory consumer-protection laws apply where they conflict with this.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via email and an in-app banner at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
